Heal your body and mind naturally with our integrative naturopathic medicine, ayurvedic medicine, and botanical medicine services.
At Healing Watters, our mission is to provide natural and holistic solutions for our patients' health and wellness needs. We believe that the body has an innate ability to heal itself, and we strive to facilitate that process through our services. Dr. Watters is a licensed naturopathic doctor in Washington state and has a masters degree in ayurvedic medicine. He enjoys using his extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with botanical medicine to provide customized formulas for his patients. Come see what the power of naturopathic medicine can do for you!
Dr. Watters has completed training in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy with over 100-hours of supervision at the AIMS Institute. He also taken the Integrative Psychiatry Institute's year-long training in psychedelic-assisted therapy. Dr. Watters blends his knowledge of naturopathic, ayurvedic, and botanical medicine; ecotherapy; and traditional Amazonian plant medicine into an integrative psychiatric modality for supporting deep and lasting change in his patients. At this time, due to Washington regulations, only ketamine-assisted psychotherapy is available, though Dr. Watters is excited for a future where MDMA- and psilocybin-assisted psychotherapy will be legally available in a medical setting. Please see our Research page for the "Psilocybin in Palliative Care: A Review" article by Dr. Watters and his colleagues at the AIMS Institute in 2023.
Dr. Watters is passionate about connecting his patients to the best that the natural world has to offer. Through his many years studying global healing practices and evidence-based medicine, he is convinced that the botanical world has many safe and supportive therapies to offer to people for much of what the human condition requires. His goal is to connect each of his patients with a botanical medicine and with time in nature. Imagine working with chamomile for sleep support, lavender for anxiety-reduction, St. John's wort for winter-time blues, rhodiola for help with focus, schizandra for fatigue, or yohimbe for sexual health support. Picture yourself receiving regular encouragement to get outside onto one of the many nature trails in Washington state or cultivating a garden of medical plants in your own home or apartment. Humankind's need to connect with nature and the benefits that come through that connection is well documented in the scientific literature through the study of biophila (love of living things). Take a look at the work of Barbiero and Berto, 2021 and of Gaekwad et al, 2022. You'll likely decide, as Dr. Watters has, that naturopathic and ayurvedic medicine can teach better health through a better relationship with nature--and it all starts with using safe natural medicines and spending time in nature.
