Heal your body and mind naturally with our integrative naturopathic medicine, ayurvedic medicine, and botanical medicine services.
At Healing Watters, our mission is to provide natural and holistic solutions for our patients' health and wellness needs. We believe that the body has an innate ability to heal itself, and we strive to facilitate that process through our services. Dr. Watters is a licensed naturopathic doctor in Washington state. He holds his Masters degree in ayurvedic medicine. He enjoy utilizing his extensive knowledge and hands-on know how with botanical medicine to provide customized formulas for his patients. Come see what the power of naturopathic medicine can do for you!
Our services also include:
Dr. Watters has completed training in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy at AIMS Institute as well as through the Integrative Psychiatry Institute's year-long training in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy. He received over one hundred hours of supervision in psychedelic-assisted therapy during his residency at the prestigious AIMS Institute (Seattle, WA). Dr. Watters blends his knowledge of naturopathic medicine, ayurvedic medicine, botanical medicine, ecotherapy, and traditional amazonian plant medicine into an integrative psychiatric modality for supporting deep and lasting change in his patients. At this time, due to Washington regulations, only ketamine-assisted psychotherapy is available, though Dr. Watters is excited for a future where MDMA-assisted psychotherapy and psilocybin-assisted psychotherapy may be legally available in a medical setting. Please see our Research page for the "Psilocybin in Palliative Care; A Review" article authored by Dr. Watters and his colleagues at the AIMS Institute in 2023!
Dr. Watters is passionate about connecting his patients to the best that the natural world has to offer. Through his many years of study of global healing practices and evidence-based medicine, he is convinced that the botanical world has many safe and supportive therapies to offer to people for much of what the human condition requires. His goal is to connect each of his patients with a botanical medicine and with time in nature. Imagine working with chamomile for sleep support or lavender for anxiety-reduction or St. John's wort for winter-time blues or rhodiola for a little help with focus or schizandra for fatigue or yohimbe for sexual health support. Picture yourself receiving regular encouragement to get outside onto any of thousands of nature trails in Washington state or to cultivate a botanical garden in your own home or apartment. Humankind's need for connection to nature and the benefit that comes through that connection is well-documented in the scientific literature through the field of study of "biophila" ("love of living things"). Take a look at the work of Barbiero and Berto 2021 (https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fpsyg.2021.700709) and of Gaekwad et al 2022 (https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fpsyg.2022.750245)! You'll likely decide, as Dr. Watters has, that naturopathic medicine and ayurvedic medicine can teach better health through a better relationship with nature... and it all starts with utilizing safe natural medicines and spending a little time around nature.
